The Activa 2 was based upon the XM and was to be fitted with the 24v 3.0l V6 that could develop 200bhp, with an automatic four speed gearbox and an active anti-roll system. Over time the suspension setup from the Activa 2 would be fitted to the Xantia.
Unfortunately, the Activa was never put in production by Citroen as they didn’t see it as a commercially viable car and would have seen competing against established manufactures in that sector. There was huge interest from wealth Citroen enthusiasts but this didn’t sway the PSA management.
