Downtown Decatur hosting classic car Cruise-In on third Friday each month

Downtown Decatur is hosting a free classic car Cruise-In from 4:30 to 9 p.m. on the third Friday of each month through October. The Cruise-In includes classic cars such as 1930s and 1940s hot rods and muscle cars like Mustangs, Chevelles, GTOs and Camaros. Past shows have included Volkswagon buses, MGs, Cobras and pickup trucks. The event has averaged more than 90 cars at each show since it began in April and includes live music and street vendors. Shops in downtown Decatur will also be open during the Cruise-In. The next Cruise-In will be on June 15 with music by Southern rock band Wheeler.
